About Us

Atech Building Inspections, located in Coffs Harbour NSW, is owned and operated by Malcolm Wood, a Licensed Builder and Building Consultant and is fully covered by Professional Indemnity Insurance.

With over thirty years experience in the building industry, having held a Carpenters Licence up until obtaining his ‘Clerk of Works’ and Builders Licence in 1991. In conjunction with building, Malcolm also designed buildings and drafted plans, specialising in 3D computer modelling.

Having always been hands-on and a perfectionist throughout his building career, Malcolm has gained valuable knowledge and insight of building construction and design, knowing what works and what doesn’t work as well as being able to spot bad building practices and potential problem areas. Malcolm draws on all of his building experiences to offer you a thorough and accurate building inspection, carried out in a professional manner and producing a comprehensive building report that is easy to read and understand.
